Students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering attended the 2016 IDETC/CIE conference held in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 21-24, organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The team of three students from DME were among thirteen teams from around the world selected to take part in this year’s IDSC Challenge to present their competitive projects. The project, titled “Design and Optimization of Asymmitric Nozzle and Inlet Geometries of Shock-Induced Combustion Ramjet (Shcramjet) Engine” presented by the team DME was of an advanced hypersonic propulsion system, for which they designed and optimized the inlet and nozzle geometries.
